Free Art Show Reveals Contra Costa Health Care Workers' Artistic Side

What:
Contra Costa Health Services employees will share their artistic talents as painters, musicians, photographers and more during a free annual evening of art and music October 6 in Martinez. The event, Health Care Workers as Creators, will also feature hands-on creativity workshops. A silent art auction will benefit the Healing Through the Arts Initiative and ArtsChange, a West County nonprofit that works to empower youths and reach the community through art. Displays will include photography, painting, woodwork, textiles and other visual arts alongside a musical variety show including country and western, bluegrass, rock, rhythm and blues, vocal music and Aztec and hula dancing. Food and drinks will be served.
When
4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, October 6 at the Contra Costa Regional Medical Center courtyard, 2500 Alhambra Avenue in Martinez.
Who:
The event is open to the public. It will be held with the help of ArtsChange, Health Services staff and volunteers. There is a suggested donation of $10-$20.
