The increased demand on the County health system because of the economic crisis is the topic of the latest Contra Costa Health Services (CCHS) podcast, an audio presentation available on the CCHS website. CCHS Director William Walker, MD, talks about how more and more people are losing their jobs and health insurance and having to turn to CCHS for their care. The increased demand is straining the system.
