Contra Costa to hold H1N1 flu shot clinics Saturday in Concord and San Ramon

Only priority groups will receive vaccine

What

Contra Costa Health Services will hold two free community H1N1 flu vaccination clinics 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday in Concord and San Ramon. Both H1N1 and seasonal flu shots will be offered to priority groups as supplies last.

Where

The Concord clinic will be held at the Sleep Train Pavilion, 2000 Kirker Pass Road, Concord. The San Ramon clinic will be held at the PG&E San Ramon Valley Conference Center, 3301 Crow Canyon Road, San Ramon.

Who

The clinics are intended for people living in Contra Costa County. Only people in the following priority groups will receive vaccine.

H1N1 vaccine:

  • Pregnant women
  • Children ages 6 months through 4 years
  • Children who are between 5 years and 18 years with chronic medical conditions (including asthma, diabetes, heart disease and others)
  • People who live with or provide care for infants under 6 months of age (parents, siblings and daycare providers)

Seasonal flu vaccine:

  • People 60 years and older
  • Pregnant women
  • People 4 years and older with chronic medical conditions
