Contra Costa health officials have issued a health advisory for communities in East Contra Costa east of Willow Pass because of smoke and ash from a fire on one of the Delta islands north of Antioch in either Solano or Sacramento County. This fire does not involve a refinery. The island is on the north side of the Antioch Bridge.

Hazardous Material teams from Contra Costa County are on scene at Los Medanos Child Study Center and in Pittsburg assessing the conditions. Smoke and ash from the fire are drifting into some communities in East Contra Costa east of Willow Pass. At this time there is little odor from this fire. Smoke from any fire is considered hazardous. People with respiratory problems should avoid the smoke and ash and stay inside if possible. There is no shelter-in-place order.
