What:

Contra Costa Public Health has scheduled their 2008 flu clinics at community centers and senior centers throughout the county. Flu vaccine is free although a $15 donation is greatly appreciated. Pneumonia and Tetanus/Diphtheria (Td) and Tetanus/Diphtheria/Pertussis (Tdap) immunizations are also available at these clinic sites. Fee for Td and Tdap is $15 and $40 for pneumonia.

Who:

Flu vaccine will be available to seniors, high-risk people and the general public ages nine and over. Flu vaccine is recommended for pregnant women, people over 50, people with chronic diseases of the lung, heart and liver, and all children 6 months and older.

These clinics will not offer flu vaccine to people with current fevers or allergies to eggs nor to children under 9 years of age.
