Why:
Breast cancer is the second leading cause of cancer death among women in the United States. A woman's chance of survival is much higher if the tumors are detected early through self-exam or mammography and if followed by treatment. These health fairs are being held as part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month to raise awareness about breast cancer and to help women take a more active role in their breast health.
