Chevron Refinery in Richmond has submitted its required 30-day report on the January 15 fire at the Chevron refinery in Richmond.

When

The report was received on February 14.

Where

The report is posted on the Contra Costa Health Services website.

Why

Contra Costa County's Hazardous Materials Program Incident Notification Policy requires a report be submitted after accidents occur at local refineries and chemical plants.

Additional Information

A final report will be submitted following a root cause analysis required by the City of Richmond's Industrial Safety Ordinance. The County's Hazardous Materials Program staff will monitor how Chevron performs the root cause analysis and will follow-up on corrective active.
