Still Time for Low-income Residents to Get Free Tax Help for Refunds

What

Free tax preparation services are still available to Contra Costa families and individuals who earn $38,000 or less annually and may qualify for federal Earned Income Tax and Child Care credits through the Earn It! Save It! Keep It! Contra Costa Campaign. Last year, the program helped about 1,700 Contra Costans claim more than $2 million in tax credits and refunds.

The tax services are being offered at 12 locations around the county at the following locations and times:

Antioch:

OPTIC, 3102 Delta Fair Blvd.,
5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Fridays, 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Saturdays, Jan. 14 - April 15.

Bay Point:

Bay Point Works, 3105 Willow Pass Road,
9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Mondays though Fridays,
Feb. 1 - April 14.

Pittsburg:
