Health Services Launches Improved Website
For release January 4, 2005
What
Contra Costa Health Services (CCHS) is launching its redesigned and improved website (cchealth.org), featuring a search engine for the site, faster loading times, streamlined grouping of categories and topics, and increased level of access for people with disabilities
The redesign is aimed at increasing the website's traffic from the current 1,100 visits a day, as well as making it easy and worthwhile for visitors to navigate the site and to explore the many ways CCHS serves, protects and works with the public, including the services and resources offered by:
- Contra Costa Regional Medical Center, the county's state of the art 164-bed hospital
- 10 Health Centers and Clinics located throughout the county
- Contra Costa Health Plan, the first county-sponsored health plan in California
- CCHS Divisions, including Public Health, Environmental Health, Hazardous Materials, Mental Health, Alcohol and Other Drugs Services, and Emergency Medical Services
The website also helps visitors learn about a wide range of health topics, including obesity, asthma, influenza and other infectious diseases, immunizations, dental health, smoking cessation and so on, as well as wellness tips for newborns, infants, children, adults, seniors and special populations
Many of the site's pages are available in Spanish.
