Diesel Pollution Community Meeting

What:

A community meeting to discuss solutions to diesel pollution in West Contra Costa County. Residents are encouraged to attend the meting and voice their concerns about diesel pollution, truck problems and other neighborhood air quality concerns.

When:

6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 27

Where:

Neighborhood House of North Richmond
820 23rd Street
Richmond

Why:

There is up to six times more diesel pollution released in West Contra Costa County than the rest of the county as a whole. Residents of Richmond and San Pablo are more likely to be hospitalized for asthma than residents in the rest of the county.

Who:

The diesel pollution meeting is sponsored by the Community Health Initiative, the West County Toxics Coalition, Neighborhood House of North Richmond, the Pacific Institute and Contra Costa Health Services.
