WHAT

Contra Costa Health Services officials will present to the county Board of Supervisors the Industrial Safety Ordinance Annual Performance Review and Evaluation Report. The report discusses the effectiveness of the Ordinance, the audits that have been performed, the accident history in the last year, information that is available on Health Services website, and the public participation process.

WHEN

The Board meeting begins at 10 a.m. Tuesday, October 19, and the report is expected to be presented at 11.

WHERE

The meeting is in the Board chambers of 651 Pine Street in Martinez.

WHY

"This report is a requirement of the county Industrial Safety Ordinance," said Randy Sawyer, Director of Hazardous Materials Programs for Contra Costa Health Services, the county health department. "In addition to information about the ordinance, the report summarizes the major chemical accidents and releases of the past year as well as the dates of inspections at all seven sites covered by the ordinance."
