Pediatric Flu Shots Now Available at Contra Costa Immunization Clinics

WHAT:
Children aged six months to 18 years can now get the flu vaccine at all Contra Costa Public Health Immunization Clinics. There is enough vaccine for this particular priority group, defined by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention as:
- All children aged 6-23 months
- Children aged 2-18 years with underlying chronic medical conditions, such as asthma, diabetes, cystic fibrosis, heart and kidney disease, sickle cell anemia and others
- The flu shots cost $5, but no one will be denied if they're unable to pay
- Parents are also encouraged to bring their children's immunization records so their children can get other required vaccinations and get their records updated

Starting Tuesday, November 2, through the winter season

All Contra Costa Public Health Immunization Clinics:
- Bay Point, 215 Pacifica Avenue (Wednesdays, except second Wednesday of every month, 9-10:30 a.m.)
- Brentwood, 118 Oak Street (Tuesdays, 3-5:30 p.m.)
- Concord, 2355 Stanwell Circle (Wednesdays, except second Wednesday of every month, 9-10:30 a.m.)
- Pittsburg, 2311 Loveridge Road (Monday - Friday, 2-3:30 p.m.)
- Richmond, 39th Street and Bissell Avenue (Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays, 1:30-3:30 p.m.)
