Dental Health Project Seeks Peer Educators

WHAT:

Contra Costa's Dental Health Peer Education Project is seeking community residents who speak English or Spanish, who are at least 16 years old, and are interested in educating East and Central County parents, grandparents and other caregivers about children's oral health

Prior dental education training or experience is not necessary; possible stipend for educators

WHEN:

The peer educators will be trained on an oral health curriculum in January 2005 and are expected to begin educating East and Central County residents in February, which is Children’s Dental Health Month

WHO:

The project is part of the Contra Costa Dental Health Action Group of the Family, Maternal and Child Health Programs of Contra Costa Health Services
