Three Adult Flu Clinics Announced

What

Contra Costa Health Services' Public Health Department will be having three adult flu clinics.

When & Where

Clinics will take place:

Richmond Auditorium, 403 Civic Center Plaza, Richmond
November 30, 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Willow Pass Community Center, 2748 East Olivera Road, Concord
December 1, 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Antioch Senior Center, Second and E Street, Antioch
December 2, 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Who

These clinics will only provide flu vaccine to adults who fall within the guidelines given by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.(CDC)

Persons in the priority groups are:

  • Adults aged 65 years and older
  • Adults 19-64 years with chronic medical conditions
  • All women who will be pregnant during the influenza season
  • Residents of nursing homes and long-term care facilities

Persons under 19 years of age will not receive vaccine at these clinics.

How

No appointments needed. This is a drop-in clinic where patients are seen on first come, first served basis.

Vaccines will cost $5 (no one will be denied if unable to pay).

Healthy persons ages 5 to 49 who are not pregnant and who do not fall into the above guidelines can obtain flu mist at most large pharmacies. To locate flu mist in your area log onto findfluvaccine.org.
