Press Release

Contra Costa Farm Stands & Farmers' Markets

Why

A healthy diet includes at least five to nine servings of fruits and vegetables each day. That sounds like a lot, but just half a cup of fresh fruit or cooked vegetable equals one serving. With the local availability of Farmers' Markets and Farm Stands, it's easier than ever to include high quality, freshly harvested produce in your family's diet. In addition, you're supporting local farmers who sell their produce at the markets.

Farm Stands

Farm Stands are open Tuesdays year-round from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. at Kaiser Permanente Medical Center in Richmond (917 Nevin Avenue) and from 3 - 5:30 p.m. at North Richmond Missionary Baptist Church in North Richmond (1427 Filbert Street).
